Meet Our Coaches

Coach Scope is entering his second season as the West Chester East Girls Flag Football Coach. In his first season, the girls completed an undefeated regular season and earned a playoff berth. Coach Scope is also an assistant coach for the West Chester East football team.  He has just completed his 20th season as a high school football coach, including four seasons as a defensive coordinator and four seasons as a head coach. Off the field, he is an APT teacher at West Chester East High School. Coach Scope resides in Media, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Emily, and their two sons, Ben and JD, ages 9 and 11.

 Coach Boyd is in his 12th year as a Health and PE teacher at East. During his time at East, he has been an Assistant Varsity football coach for 12 years, Freshman basketball coach for 11 years, and Assistant Girl’s Lacrosse coach for 6 years. He is also a graduate of West Chester East, and he lives in West Chester with his wife Denise and two daughters Anna (6) and Molly (4). He is excited to join the Girl’s Flag Football family!

Coach Kelly McCreesh has been a part of the West Chester Area School District for five years and currently works at East High School as a career counselor. She previously coached soccer at Rustin High School for four years. Growing up, Coach McCreesh developed a love for sports while competing in soccer, swimming, softball, and track. She is a strong advocate for women’s sports and is passionate about mentoring young female athletes. When she’s not on the sports field, you can find her spending time with family and friends or skiing on the slopes. Coach McCreesh is excited to join the flag football coaching team and make a positive impact on the program. 

Coach Halloran is entering his first season as the West Chester East Girls Assistant Flag Football Coach. In 2025, Coach Halloran volunteered his time during the pre-season up to Game 1 as he had personal commitments throughout the Spring. Coach Halloran, the elder statesman of the staff, bring years of coaching to the table having coached his son and daughter as they grew up. He is very excited to work with this staff and the girls! Off the field, he is a Business teacher at West Chester East High School. Coach Halloran lives with this wife Brenda in Garnet Valley. His son Joey is a senior and plays lacrosse at Salisbury University. His daughter Taylor is a freshman and plays lacrosse at Flagler College.
